Australian company designs and manufactures composite water turbine blades
Recently, Australian renewable energy company Kinetic NRG said it has worked with ACS-A to design and manufacture a composite blade for hydroelectric generators. According to the company, the composite provides a low-cost, lightweight solution compared to the l blades previously used. To meet the complex geometry of the blade, the project also developed a set of low-cost composite tooling for blade assembly.
